2. Your Learning Data is Yours

Your vocabulary collections, flashcard progress, and reading history are fundamental to your learning journey. We do not harvest or sell your personal learning data. Your progress is stored securely on your device and synced privately via your Apple iCloud account to provide a seamless, continuous experience across your devices.

3. Microphone and Speech Recognition

Bublefish may request microphone access to evaluate and improve your German pronunciation. We are completely transparent about how this is handled:

• Secure Processing: Speech evaluation is processed securely and directly within the iOS ecosystem.
• No Voice Storage: We do not record, store, or transmit your voice clips to our own servers.
• Zero Third-Party Sharing: Your audio data is never sold or shared with external advertisers.

4. Analytics and Crash Reporting

To continually deliver a premium, crash-free experience, we utilize Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics. These tools collect anonymized, aggregated usage data (such as feature engagement) and technical crash logs. This data is strictly used to identify bugs, optimize performance, and improve Bublefish. It is never linked to your personal identity.

5. Subscriptions and Payments

All Bublefish subscriptions and purchases are securely processed directly through Apple's App Store. We do not collect, process, or have any access to your credit card or payment information. Your purchase history is managed entirely by Apple under their strict privacy guidelines.

6. Learning is for Everyone (Including Kids!)

We believe that mastering a new language is for learners of all ages. The exact same strict data privacy rules apply to our younger users: we simply do not collect, track, or sell personal data. Kids can explore and learn German in a completely safe, secure, and private environment.

7. Changes to This Privacy Policy

As we add exciting new features to Bublefish, we may update this policy. We will notify you of any significant changes by updating the policy in the app and on this website. We encourage you to review it periodically.
